1. Map the work. Follow the inputs, decisions, handoffs and outputs. Establish where time goes and who owns the result.
2. Choose a use case. Compare the expected value with the effort, uncertainty and consequences of an error.
3. Assess readiness. Identify the data, permissions, integrations and human review the workflow requires.
4. Plan the first build. Define a bounded starting point, responsibilities and the checks needed before expanding it.

What should you measure?

Before a pilot, record the current completion time, correction effort and error rate for a defined sample. Compare the same work after the change, including review and maintenance time. Set an acceptable error threshold based on the consequences of a mistake.

These are proposed evaluation practices, not a promise of savings. Sometimes a clearer process or a conventional automation is sufficient.

The AI Opportunity & Systems Audit starts at $25K, consistent with our current engagement menu. We agree the workflow coverage, access, deliverables and fee before work begins. Building integrations and ongoing operation require their own agreed scope.

Do we need to choose a model first?

No. Establish the task and acceptance criteria first. The eventual solution may use AI, rules, existing software or a combination. A model choice cannot resolve an unclear process.
