From content to a paid offer

A workshop? A service? A digital product?

More options do not make the decision easier. A membership needs ongoing delivery. A service uses your time. A digital product still needs a buyer. Compare the tradeoffs before choosing what to build.

01 / CHOOSE

Choose an offer you can deliver

Clarify the customer’s problem, set your constraints and compare seven revenue models. Write an offer with a clear result and clear boundaries.

02 / TEST

See what each sale leaves you

Work through pricing, contribution, delivery hours and a paid pilot. Separate attention from purchases and time saved from money earned.

03 / DECIDE

Decide what deserves another test

Use worked examples, a revenue decision sheet and a five-line strategy exercise to choose what to repeat, change or stop.

Revenue is not what you keep.

A $1,250 launch sounds good. But what is left after making and delivering the product?

In the guide’s fictional example, Jo sells 50 mugs for $25 each. Variable costs are $17 per mug, with another $240 in fixed launch costs.

The next decision:

Jo spent 16 hours on the launch. The $160 left amounts to $10 per owner hour before shared overhead and tax. Before ordering another batch, test whether a better price or cost structure is viable.

Fictional teaching example
Sales · 50 × $25$1,250
Variable costs · 50 × $17−$850
Contribution$400
Fixed launch costs−$240
Left before owner time,
shared overhead and tax
$160

These are invented numbers for learning, not benchmarks, customer results or income projections.
